I may be changing my mind when we get our first run of days over 40 degrees Celcius( thats 104F for everyone else overseas) but until then I am loving the days.
Some of you who read is this blog from far away you may not realize the kind of regular heat waves we experience here in Melbourne. It is not uncommon to have 3 days in a row of temperatures over 104F compete with dry furnace winds. Its lung burning, eyeball cooking kind of heat and not welcome by anyone. I have lived in the tropics and I know its hot there all the time but for Melbourne its such a shock to the system when the heatwaves roll in it makes life very unpleasant.
Enough of that though, because right now the weather is magnificent!
Cool mornings that lead into brilliant blue skies and the perfect temperature of around 23-25 degrees. The evening are warm but the nights are still cool enough for a good sleep. There is the smell of life in the air and more smiles and fun. Its a busy and productive time of waking up and getting into the party mood. Barbeques, cocktails, picnics and long brunches. Walks, the beach and time to get out the cozzie( swim suit) and expose our sheltered skin to some Vitamin D(without the burn of course)
In the perfumery it means Christmas time preparation. So many lovely gift ideas in my head and gorgeous smells floating about. Rich florals and exotic spices. Light herbs and fresh citrus. In fact I am off to work on some special scent mixes right now.
