Genius at Work

I am locking my self away with thoughts of art deco sets from the silver screen, goddesses and heavenly gardens to finalize the new logo for Fleurage. Before the cries of protest ring out it is not a 'complete' change but instead a kind of evolutionary transformation. Think grand, luscious and elegant - everything Fleurage is.

We all adore the current fountain with goddess and panther and will be keeping this but Fleurage is moving and so should the way it is seen.

A new form of our gorgeous icons will emerge soon lending a stronger, bolder presence combining our many facets into the one idea. In two years we have achieved, and offer, so much more than the range of perfumes and products. Our Vision has always been bigger than the initial boutique perfumery we opened.

It has been noticeable that with the admiration of the logo comes a bit of confusion about the characters and how they connect. A short explanation.

The Panther stands as a 'familiar'( a kind of protector companion and power totem) and is a creature of scent legend. (taken form various printed and web sources) "Under medieval belief after feasting the panther will sleep in a cave for a total of three days. After this period ends, the panther roars, in the process emiting a sweet smelling odour. This odour draws in any creatures who smell it (the dragon being the only creature immune) and the cycle begins again."

The Goddess is based on 'Flora' being the muse of Fleurage.

The fountain typified the art deco era and the liquid of perfume. The perfume fountain was a feature at one of the great expositions and often represented perfume thereafter.

In the new form the goddess and panther are still central but the obvious flower connection becomes more dominant. There is much excitement here in the perfumery and many creative people have been  involved in the process to date.

Now to the drawing board.

Cheers
