Perfume 101: this is the workshop for you if you want to know more about the perfumery industry from the beginnings to modern day, what’s in perfume and how to choose and wear the right scent for you.

$200 per head to be paid at the time of booking – nonrefundable. If unable to attend a voucher will be issued.
Course begins at 2pm and goes until  6pm including breaks.

Included in this experience is:

  • a comprehensive set of notes that cover all topics discussed
  • a personal scent analysis
  • a Fleurage perfume reference wheel
  • practical experience of notes and ingredients found in perfumes
  • refreshments

In these 4 hours we talk perfume perfume perfume and everything to do with perfume.
Topics covered will be:

  • Modern perfumery compared to ancient perfumery
  • Modern day problems with perfume and scent
  • Perfume etiquette, scenting ritual and perfume as part of basic grooming
  • Finding your particular type of scent and reducing the peril of choosing scent for another
  • The biology and science of the forgotten sense-that of smell
  • Different methods of identifying types of scent and classifying scent families.

This is part of the historical terrace shops with wide streets and two hour ticketed parking out the front. 

Catch the number 112 tram along Clarendon Street and alight at Park Street or take the Number 1 tram and alight at either Clarendon or Cecil Streets.
