PERFUME 101

BEGINNING JANUARY 5TH 2010 - TAKING BOOKINGS NOW
Held on Saturday March 6th, April 3rd, May 1st, June 5th and July 3rd. 10am to noon.
Maximum of 20 people per session.
$50 per person.


In these 2 hours we talk perfume perfume perfume and everything to do with perfume. The only real opportunity to discuss the subject with an actual practicing perfumer

Topics covered will be:

  • modern perfumery compared to ancient perfumery

  • modern day problems with perfume and scent

  • perfume etiquette, scenting ritual and perfume as part of basic grooming

  • finding your particular type of scent and reducing the peril of choosing scent for another

  • Q&A with the perfumer for all those perfume questions you have always wanted to ask.

Your experience will include:

  • a comprehensive notes folder on topics covered

  • a personal scent analysis that details the types of scents for you and breaks down the notes you should look for when choosing any perfume.

  • morning tea

This experience is ideal for organized groups or parties of people who want to know more about perfumery and make sense of fragrance as part of our everyday. All ages and sexes are welcome.

Essential oils are like liquid gold

Essential oil absolutes, resins and concretes are the fundamental building blocks of botanical perfumery. They are also a very rare and expensive commodity. They are what we use in our workshops – the genuine exotic ingredients for you to experience first hand.
