Young Perfumers

BEGINNING JANUARY 10TH 2010 - TAKING BOOKINGS NOW
For special bookings only. Call to arrange a date.
Ages 11 – 15yrs. Maximum 10 participants and at least two accompanying parents.
$50 per person taking part.

A fun couple of hours where we construct simple and fun scents and products, decorate jars and bottles and create special gift boxes.

Each participant gets to take home each glamorous product they make on the day and there will be light refreshments. Special arrangements can be made for birthday celebrations at a different price per head to include food and goody bags, just call the perfumery.

Special Notes:

  • each ingredient is chosen specifically to be safe for children and careful consideration is taken of young noses and delicate skins.

  • every child must have a note from their parent to say they are allowed to attend and who is taking responsibility for them on the day.

  • Fleurage must be notified of any allergies or medical conditions well in advance and parents must accompany their children if they have any specialized needs.

Essential oils are like liquid gold

Essential oil absolutes, resins and concretes are the fundamental building blocks of botanical perfumery. They are also a very rare and expensive commodity. They are what we use in our workshops – the genuine exotic ingredients for you to experience first hand.

This quote from Wikipedia is an extract from an article about synthetic perfumery ingredients (indoles) which illustrates the dramatic scale of difference between the origins and pricing of synthetic versus plant based perfume ingredients.
