From $1,000 to $10,000

For any private line scent design with a large industry body you can expect to pay from $20,000 to $100,000.

We offer a more reasonable price range to help clients enter the market.

Cost Ranges

 

$1,000 to $3,000

  • A basic scent design for one scent with no special requirements

  • The use of high quality synthetic scent ingredients.

  • No reporting requirements beyond supply of ingredient SDS.

  • A clear client brief supplied based on the brand

  • No client involvement except sample assessment.

  • Three rounds of samples.

 

$3,000 to $5,000

  • A small set of designs (no more than three).

  • The use of high quality synthetic ingredients with limited special client requirements (eg must be local supply).

  • Consideration of a limited range of product applications for the scent such as perfume, diffuser, candle, room spray or other external uses (not cosmetic or topical).

  • Basic reporting requirements compiled using available SDS in compliance with Australian and IFRA regulations.

  • A clear comprehensive client brief supplied based on the brand and initial consultation to discuss the brief.

  • No client involvement or instruction except sample assessment.

  • Three to five rounds of samples.

 

$5,000 to $10,000

  • A set of designs (up to four) on the one contract

  • Special client requirements for ingredients such as limited inclusion of naturals, specified strengths, specified location.

  • An open range of applications of the scent for cosmetic use (not medical) and space scenting.

  • Client requested ethical requirements to be met such as no animal testing, limited eco impact.

  • Basic reporting requirements compiled using available SDS in compliance with Australian and IFRA regulations.

  • A clear brand brief supplied by the client with additional consultation and clarification with the perfumer.

  • Limited client instruction regarding specific ingredients choices and preferences.

  • Five to seven rounds of samples.

 

$10,000

  • A set of up to 8 designs on the one contract


  • Client special requirements for ingredients such as exclusive and specific naturals, specified strengths, location or types.

  • An open range of applications of the scent for cosmetic use and space scenting. Can include some unique products in consultation with clients and manufacturers.

  • Specific ethical requirements to be met (such as vegan, no animal testing, limited eco impact, ethical work conditions).

  • Basic reporting requirements compiled using available SDS in compliance with Australian and IFRA regulations and the EU.

  • A clear brand brief with additional consultation and clarification with the perfumer.

  • Limited client instruction regarding specific ingredients choices and preferences .

  • Five to ten rounds of samples.

  • Supply of specific amounts of bulk fragrance for product testing.

All contracts include

  • The hand over of signed off intellectual property upon completion


  • Confidentiality


  • The option for Fleurage to create the fragrance in bulk

  • A fee of $1,000.00 for changing the brief

  • A fee of $500.00 per extra round of samples due to client inability to effectively communicate, or commit to a design that fulfils the brief.

 

Note: We do not accept instruction to copy existing fragrances. 

We do not design for medical products and it is up to clients to deal with the TGA.
